Dunlop Viscoflex is a range of low resilience, visco-elastic (VE) foams that are also known as “slow recovery” or “memory” foams. The unique formulation of Dunlop Viscoflex allows it to conform to the shape of the body even in cold conditions.
Unlike most other VE foams, Viscoflex does not go hard in cold conditions, providing instant comfort without the need for body heat to soften it making it ideal for comfortable mattress overlays.
Viscoflex improves comfort and reduces interface pressure, which decreases tossing and turning in bed and can help reduce the likelihood of developing pressure sores (also known as bed sores or decubitus ulcers) when used in hospital mattresses and wheelchair cushions.

Dunlop Viscolux (LR) foams are very soft low resilience foams, often called “memory” or “visco-elastic” foam. They have the characteristic of slow recovery after compression force is removed, leaving a temporary imprint. These foams provide superior comfort by spreading the load and reducing pressure.
Viscolux foams are treated with Ultra-Fresh®, providing hygienic anti-microbial protection.

All Dunlop Foams used in our mattress overlays are Ultra-Fresh treated.

Laboratory tests show that foams, fibres and fabrics treated with Ultra-Fresh® at the manufacturing stage, provide effective control of house dust mites as well as the growth of destructive mould, mildew and fungi - important triggers for allergic and asthmatic responses, particularly in children.
